I had a very comfortable stay at Hotel KAN-RAKU. Staff were friendly and the room was attractively furnished and quiet. It was easy to relax here. I'm happy I finally got to stay here! I was due to travel to Akita in August last year, but for a number of reasons out of my control I was unable to. During this time, the staff were incredibly accommodating with my changing dates and eventual cancellation. When I had the chance to visit Akita again, I knew that I wanted to stay here as the staff had been so accommodating in the summer. I'm pleased to say that the staff here are just as welcoming and accommodating in person ☺️ The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the station and Senshū Park, the Akita Museum of Art and the Akarenga-kan museum are all within walking distance making it a great base to explore Akita city.

close proximity to train stations. lots of restaurants in the area. I like the room size , we pay for a bit extra for bigger room but we get to open our big luggages in our room for packing after shopping is nice. I find Japanese hotels tend to be very small room size if you don't pay a bit extra for bigger rooms . by the way, hotel sign on the building is in Japanese words. if you can't read Japanese you might need a bit extra time to locate the hotel.

Wow. We stayed for one night after hotel-hopping quite a bit in Japan, and this place was immediately put on our list of favorite ones. Well maintained and super-clean and modern. The room had a large desk where you could work, really comfy bed, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. Breakfast area had such a nice and relaxed atmosphere. There was even a public bath available for the guests! Free of charge! I can't believe this was the cheapest hotel we stayed at. Such a wonderful hotel.

It was a nice hotel for the price, they offered to make up the room everyday and if you put a do not disturb sign, they would still provide you with a change of towels and trash bags. Check in was quick and the staff were very helpful. The sento was normal.

Know a lot complain about distance from the station, however the hotel is right next to the main entertainment street, which I really enjoyed when getting food. Really nice hotel and friendly staff.

The location was quite handy to the city centre with interesting food options nearby including a craft brewhouse and tasty bakery.

Fantastic location with car parking. Business hotel but very clean and new. Bath house on ground floor. Breakfast is so so but for the price no complaints. Room and bed was comfortable and practical.

The room was nice and clean, and staffs were friendly. The location was a bit far from the city center, but overall it was wonderful considering its price

This hotel was very clean. Breakfast was good with a variety of food to choose from. The hotel offers free parking but it's always full however you can park right next to the hotel at the paid parking lot.
